How To Install Custom Double-Layered Draperies

For those instances, when you want to do a custom sheer and an overdrape on the same window, double rod is a perfect hardware solution.

As all things custom, it comes in all shapes, sizes, configurations, materials, and finishes.

Some things to be mindful about are: 

1. distance between the draperies, so that they don't start dragging on each other,
2. type of bracket to use, 
3. number of brackets so that hardware doesn't start bowing, 
4. mounting space for the bracket base
5. and many more
